I’m falling slow in the gently broken petals of the rose.
I’ve been crushed like velvet.
I can’t help it.
I wish you’d walk me home
because I feel lost.
Tied up, twisted, stuck, irrational.
But if my words are wings,
then I believe that soon they’ll lift me home.

Half the time we’ve wasted our lives
pining, moaning, pacing back and forth.
How can we make up for lost time by
standing, talking, wishing….
Listen, listen…..

I’ve had enough of just waiting for nothing when nothing comes.

Everyone’s gossiping.
My ears are burning and
I can’t make them stop.
It’s a spreading cancer and
there’s no answers,
only questions.

Well our last breath could be any second.
Why waste it by wishing…
Listen, listen….

I’ve had enough of just waiting for nothing when nothing comes.

Oh, but something comes….
